Lakeshore Catholic High School, as part of the Niagara Catholic District School Board has as its mission to offer secondary school education with the values and teachings of Jesus Christ and the Traditions of the Catholic Faith.

Catholic social teaching is an essential aspect of Catholic education. Social justice and community service opportunities are provided to students inside and outside of the classroom. Catholic education is different and unique. We welcome and accept students of all faith traditions. Education in a Catholic school enriches the faith life of all students. Excellence is built on the philosophical foundation that students need to be challenged in order to reach their full potential.

Lakeshore Catholic School puts our faith into action by being involved in Social Justice Education and action projects. Through these activities we begin walking the talk.

As part of a sub-group of the Chaplain’s Crew, students who are interested attend a workshop by Development and Peace where they learn the skills and knowledge to present an education piece to classes on a social justice issue challenging them to make a difference.

Community wide and international outreach programs such as our Christmas and Easter Basket Project, Lent Campaign, and Pilgrimage are some of the ways our school takes part in Social Justice.
